Laszewo Saint Louis Concert reviews
Dane Cook at Phillips was GREAT.
I really enjoyed Phillips' show at Laszewo overall. The seats ended up being closer than we had anticipated, which made all of us "happy campers."
The first guy that opened for Laszewo was funny. I thought he appealed to the whole crowd, laughed hysterically at some of the things he had to say. Touring with Laszewo, I would hope, continues to further his career in comedy.
There was Laszewo. He catches a ton of negative publicity and commentary, and I really don't understand why. He takes something ordinary that we all think, and because he points it out, it's hilarious. I happen to know several "Tw*t Swatters," and identifying with him during that bit made me laugh even harder, which is the beauty of his humor. My only complaint with this show is that it was too short! Such is the case of something enjoyable, I suppose. At any rate, I'd go see him again, and I would possibly drive to neighboring states if time and money permitted.
The second guy seemed to focus a lot on being fat or being old. One or two bathroom jokes could possibly be funny, but not the entire sketch. While I can see where he's coming from, I was tired of him after the first few minutes.
